Summer Choir Camp

Summer Choir Camp

Please consider joining us for a fantastic week of singing and fellowship!

Summer Choir Camp is open to singers finishing grades 2 -12. Choristers will experience the joy of singing beautiful sacred music in a choir setting, learn basics about the role of  music in Catholic liturgies, as well as a bit of Catholic music history, Gregorian Chant, and responses for the Holy Mass.

On the final day of Camp, the Choir will sing for the 5:00 p.m. Mass on July 13 - in honor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Contact Mary Demko for more information.

In addition to experiencing the joy of singing beautiful music with other students, this year’s Music Camp will cover basics about the role of music in Catholic liturgies, as well as a bit of Catholic music history, Gregorian Chant, and responses for the Holy Mass.

Singers will receive instruction on proper breathing techniques, melody and rhythm, vocal tone quality, and choral singing skills.

Summer Camp will culminate in singing for the Mass in honor of the Blessed Virgin under her title “Our Lady of Mount Carmel” at the 5:00p.m. on Saturday, July 13.

All families are encouraged to attend this closing Mass. Enrollment in the Brown Scapular Confraternity will be available after Mass for any singer or family member.
