A Wealth of Information

40 days of Daily Devotion

During Lent, we are asked to devote ourselves to seeking the Lord in prayer and reading Scripture, to service by giving alms, and to sacrifice self-control through fasting.  Many know of the tradition of abstaining from meat on Fridays during Lent, but we are also called to practice self-discipline and fast in other ways throughout the season.

USCCB developed a Lent 2019 calendar found at www.usccb.org/lent.  Here you can click each day of Lent to read, reflect, pray, and act.

Stations of the Cross

You can also learn more about The Stations of the Cross.  For example, did you know that, what began as the practice of pious pilgrims to Jerusalem retracing the final journey of Jesus Christ to Calvary, changed to the stations you know today because many who wanted to pass along the same route, could not make the trip to Jerusalem?
