Greg Vievering - Grade 4

Grade 4

I have been teaching at Transfiguration Catholic School since 1982.  Pretty soon they will name a storage closet after me. I learned long ago as a camp counselor that I very much enjoyed working with children and that God has given me talents to do that.  For me, it is the best way to serve God, serve God’s people, and share my Catholic faith.

My favorite bible verses:

Pray and do your best and God will do the rest!

"I can do all things in him who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13

"He said to me, ’My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’  I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me . . . for when I am weak, then I am strong. More words to live by from a Christian reflection book I read recently are, “Love flies on the wings of hope and faith."
2 Corinthians 12: 9-10,

My wife Karen and I have two children: Josh and Amy.  Josh is a first-year student at the University of Minnesota Graduate School of Engineering, working on a master’s and then a doctorate degree in civil engineering.  Amy is in her second year of college at Nyack College in New York.  We have two black cats, Finn and Winston!  If you need something chewed on, see Winston.  He has a gift.

With my family, I enjoy hunting for agates and fossils, playing disk golf, visiting the zoo, fishing, going for walks, and watching movies.  On my own, I like reading books and observing wildlife, especially birds!
