The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)
We invite anyone who is interested in becoming Catholic or has questions about the Catholic faith to join us at our formation nights to learn more about the Catholic faith.
Classes are Thursday nights starting in the fall. We have a flexible schedule if Thursday nights don't work for you.
Every year, a group of adult men and women enter the Catholic Church at Transfiguration through the “Order of Christian Initiation of Adults.” Some have never been baptized as Christians; others are already members of various Christian communities, and wish to join the Catholic Church. Becoming Catholic includes sessions with instruction, prayer, and discussion. Participants are welcomed into the Church at Easter, when they receive the Sacraments of full initiation.
