Faith Formation

Transfiguration Catholic Church

Family Formation and Sacrament Prep

Parents: although faith formation is your responsibility and privilege, we would like to help you on Wednesday evenings!

We offer age-appropriate classes for children Age 3 to 8th grade. Parents will also meet for discussion and fellowship 2 times per month with other parents raising their children in the Catholic faith. Childcare will be provided. Sign up required.

Children in Grades 2-8, including those preparing for Confirmation in 8th grade and First Sacraments in 2nd Grade, will have two sessions per month.

Children Age 3 to 1st Grade, using the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) will have additional "drop off" Wednesday evening classes.

Confirmation Program

The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the grace of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism & First Holy Communion) by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which seal or "confirm" the baptized in union with Christ and equip them for full, active participation in the worship and life of the Church.

Confirmation preparation at Transfiguration is a one-year program in which students begin in the fall and conclude with the sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday May 27, 2025.
